# Getting to Da Lat by bus or plane

## Short Answer

Da Lat is reached by road or by air: buses from Ho Chi Minh City take 6 to 8 hours, from about 401,500₫ online for October 2026, and daytime vans from Nha Trang about three hours. Flying from Ho Chi Minh City takes 55 minutes, from about 970,700₫, but Liên Khương airport, open again since August 2026, is about 30 km out of town. No through train reaches Da Lat.

## By road from Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang or Da Nang

**From Ho Chi Minh City, October 2026.** The bus is the cheapest way: FUTA's Standard AC from Bến xe Miền Tây (Mien Tay bus station) takes eight hours, about 401,500₫ online. LH Minh Tri Limousine's nine-seat vehicle takes six hours, from 517,500₫, ending at 11 KQH Hoàng Diệu.

The overnight choices include Thanh Buoi's seven-hour sleeper from 266 Lê Hồng Phong, and An Anh Limousine's eight-hour VIP 34 from 64 Nguyễn Cư Trinh. They arrive at company offices, not at Bến xe Đà Lạt (Da Lat bus station); the full list is below.

### From Nha Trang

iHome's Tourist van leaves 34 Bùi Phùng at 13:00 and reaches An Tien Cafe in Da Lat at 16:00, about 267,500₫ online.

### From Da Nang

## Down to Nha Trang, Mui Ne or Ho Chi Minh City

**To Nha Trang, October 2026:** Cat Thien Hai's 06:00 VIP 16 from 191 Nguyễn Công Trứ reaches Twosome Coffee at 09:00, 258,700₫. iHome's Tourist van from An Tien Cafe at 13:00 reaches 34 Bùi Phùng at 16:00, about 267,500₫.

**To Ho Chi Minh City:** night buses arrive between 05:00 and 07:00; the day bus avoids the dawn arrival. Vietnam Airlines' 08:30 flight reaches Tân Sơn Nhất at 09:25, from about 826,700₫ online, before the airport-to-city leg.

**To Mui Ne:** day buses stop along Nguyễn Đình Chiểu or at named resorts; some tickets end at a bus station in Phan Thiet instead, explained below.

## Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat: day bus or overnight sleeper

FUTA's day bus is the simple choice, station to station: Bến xe Miền Tây at 09:00 to Bến xe Đà Lạt at 17:00, about 401,500₫ online for October 2026. Flying takes 55 minutes, from about 970,700₫, plus the ride in from Liên Khương.

Vietnam Transfers' 07:00 from Bến xe Đà Lạt goes to North Phan Thiet Bus Station instead, four hours, 390,000₫: that is Phan Thiet, not the Mui Ne beach road.

## Da Lat airport and bus questions

### Is Da Lat airport open again?

Yes. Liên Khương (DLI) reopened at 00:01 on 19 August 2026 after work on the runway and taxiways, so earlier closure notices no longer apply.

### How far is Liên Khương airport from Da Lat?

About 30 km, or 40 to 50 minutes by road according to Vietnam Airlines.

### How long is the bus from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat?

No. Da Lat's station is on a separate heritage line, not the north–south railway. From the train you continue by road, from Nha Trang or Bình Thuận.
