Getting to and from Da Nang
By air or by train. Da Nang International Airport (DAD) uses Terminal 1 for domestic flights and Terminal 2 for international; Hanoi is about 1 hour 25 minutes away. Ga Đà Nẵng is 15 to 17 hours from Hanoi, about 2 hours 30 minutes from Huế; October 2026 railway soft seats from Hanoi started at 551,000₫. Hoi An, part of Da Nang city since July 2025, is 45 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes away by shuttle.

Arriving by air, rail or road
From Hanoi. Fly, or take an SE train from Ga Hà Nội. For October 2026 the railway listed six departures: SE7 at 06:00 arriving at 22:15, SE3 at 19:20 arriving at 10:28 the next morning, and SE19, the Hanoi–Đà Nẵng train, at 19:45 arriving at 11:35.

From Huế. About 2 hours 30 minutes by train along the coast, or the railway's heritage train via Lăng Cô; shared cars take the road. The Hue to Da Nang page has both.
From the south. Trains from Ho Chi Minh City (Ga Sài Gòn) and Nha Trang arrive at Ga Đà Nẵng; the overnight buses end at company offices in the city, not at the central bus station. The sections below give both.
Da Nang airport: T1 domestic, T2 international
Da Nang International Airport (DAD)
The airport puts domestic flights at Terminal 1 and international flights at Terminal 2. Domestic arrivals from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City come in at T1.
Several Hoi An shuttles collect at the airport itself, so you can go straight on without entering the city: the Da Nang to Hoi An page gives the pickup pillars and fares.
Flights to Ho Chi Minh City take about 1 hour 20 to 1 hour 35 minutes, with Vietnam Airlines, VietJet, Vietravel and Sun PhuQuoc Airways all on sale for October 2026.
Heading north to Hue, or south overnight
North to Huế by heritage train. HĐ2 leaves Ga Đà Nẵng at 07:05 and reaches Huế at 11:03; HĐ4 leaves at 15:20 and arrives at 18:15. Both stop at Lăng Cô, and a soft seat cost 185,000₫ on the railway's timetable for October 2026.
North to Hanoi. Six trains, from SE6 at 02:01 to SE8 at 23:41; SE4 (12:28) and SE2 (13:21) arrive in Hanoi early the next morning. A soft seat from 551,000₫, a berth from 675,000₫ for that date.
South overnight. Trains to Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City run day and night; most buses leave in the evening from their own offices and arrive the next morning. Check the arrival date as well as the time: several arrive after midnight.
Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City: fly, or a night on the train
Flying takes about 1 hour 20 to 1 hour 35 minutes, with Vietnam Airlines, VietJet, Vietravel and Sun PhuQuoc Airways; for October 2026 fares started at about 970,000₫ online. The train takes 17 to 21 hours 30 minutes from Ga Đà Nẵng to Ga Sài Gòn: SE1 at 13:29 arrives at 06:30, SE3 at 10:43 at 05:30. The train is the easiest: six a day from Ga Đà Nẵng to Ga Nha Trang, 524 km, about 9 to 11 hours 30 minutes. Viet Lao's cabin buses leave two different Da Nang offices, both reaching Nha Trang New Southern Bus Station at 04:45:
The returns leave that bus station at 21:00 and 22:00 and arrive at 07:15 and 07:45, each back at its own office.
One direct flight each way that day: Vietnam Airlines from Da Nang at 14:40 to Cam Ranh, 1 hour 15 minutes, and from Cam Ranh at 16:30, 1 hour 05 minutes, both about 1,300,000₫ to 1,400,000₫ online.
Da Nang to Da Lat: the overnight cabin bus
The overnight cabin bus is the direct way: for October 2026, Viet Lao's Cabin 32 left 28 Huỳnh Thúc Kháng at 19:00 and reached its office at 67 Mai Hắc Đế, Da Lat, at 08:00, for 630,000₫ online; its Cabin 22 at 20:45 arrived at 08:45 for 880,000₫.

Coming back, the stop depends on the cabin. For the same date Viet Lao's Cabin 22 left its 67 Mai Hắc Đế office at 19:00 and reached 28 Huỳnh Thúc Kháng at 08:00 (869,000₫), while its Cabin 32 left the stop the ticket calls Da Lat Bus Station at 19:15 and arrived at 09:00 (642,000₫).
Pick the cheaper ticket and you board somewhere else.

Da Nang to Quy Nhon: six hours by day, or a night arrival
The daytime cabin bus is the comfortable choice: for October 2026, Viet Lao's 22 Cabin WC left 28 Huỳnh Thúc Kháng at 09:30 and reached the stop its tickets call GO Quy Nhon at 15:25, for 790,000₫ online. The return left at 13:30 and arrived in Da Nang at 18:30 at the same fare. A cheaper Cabin 32 at 19:00 (680,000₫) arrives at 01:00.

Night buses back leave in the small hours: Cabin 22 at 00:30 reaching Da Nang at 05:30 (713,000₫) and Cabin 32 at 02:00 reaching 28 Huỳnh Thúc Kháng at 10:00 (680,000₫), on the same date. A departure just after midnight is on the ticket's date, which feels like the night before: an 00:30 bus on the 22nd leaves late on the evening of the 21st.
