What this site collects

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. There are no advertising networks and no user accounts, and no form on the site asks for personal details.

Server logs

The servers delivering these pages record each request: your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser's identification string. These logs are kept for operational reasons, such as diagnosing errors and blocking automated abuse. They are not used to profile you and are not sold or shared.

The booking widget

The booking search on this site is provided by 12Go. When it loads, your browser connects to 12Go's servers, which can see your IP address and may set cookies under 12Go's own privacy policy. Anything you do inside the widget, or after you click through to book, is governed by 12Go's terms.

The widget loads only when you scroll near it or tap it, and every page works without it.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google. When a page loads, your browser sends Google the page visited, the site you came from, your device type, browser and approximate location, and Google sets first-party cookies named _ga to recognise a returning browser. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.

The figures are used only as totals, to see which pages are read and which need work, and are not combined with any other data.

Google processes this data under its own privacy policy, at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by blocking cookies for this site in your browser; every page works the same either way.

Your rights

Apart from routine server logs and the Google Analytics statistics described above, no personal data is held. If you have written to us, we hold that message, and it will be deleted on request: write to contact@vietnamtransportguide.com.
