To Phu Quoc, the fast boats from Hà Tiên take about 90 minutes, from 282,273₫ online for October 2026; from Rạch Giá about 2 hours 30 minutes, from 405,000₫. Thạnh Thới runs the vehicle ferry for cars. The other islands sail from other ports: Côn Đảo from Vũng Tàu or Trần Đề, Phú Quý from Phan Thiet, Lý Sơn from Sa Kỳ.

Phu Quoc: Hà Tiên is the shorter crossing
From Hà Tiên the passenger boats reach Cảng Bãi Vòng (Bai Vong port) in about 90 minutes. For October 2026, Superdong costs 282,273₫ online with fees included, against its own published adult fare of 225,818₫. Phu Quoc Express starts at 282,500₫ online, with a published adult ECO fare of 216,000₫; its route guide says about 80 minutes, its tickets allow 90.

From Rạch Giá, Superdong takes 2 hours 30 minutes, 405,000₫ online either way (published adult fare 324,000₫). Phu Quoc Express's 13:20 from Bãi Vòng reaches Rạch Giá at 15:50, from 393,750₫ online (published adult ECO 315,000₫).
On the island, Superdong's shuttle from Bãi Vòng to its Dương Đông office costs 40,000₫ each way, and VinBus route 20 runs from Bãi Vòng to Grand World for 50,000₫. The Phu Quoc guide sets these boats against the slower Thạnh Thới crossings.
From Ho Chi Minh City or Can Tho: road and boat together
No ferry leaves from Ho Chi Minh City or Can Tho. What is sold is a combined ticket: a bus to the coast and the boat across. From Ho Chi Minh City these start at about 601,000₫ for October 2026, overnight; the route page has both legs, the way back and the 55 to 65-minute flight.
From Can Tho, Hà Tiên Xanh's sleeper bus and ferry leaves at 07:00 and reaches Bãi Vòng at 14:45, about 861,200₫. Back, it leaves Bãi Vòng at 10:10 and reaches Can Tho at 17:40, about 647,500₫. The Phu Quoc page compares it with the direct flight.
Côn Đảo: Vũng Tàu or Trần Đề
Phu Quoc Express publishes adult ECO fares for October 2026 that change with the day of the week, the same in both directions:

The Vũng Tàu boat takes about four hours and boards at Cảng Cầu Đá (Cau Da port), 09 Hạ Long. Cảng Cá Trần Đề is a fishing port, not in central Can Tho. Direct flights to Côn Đảo leave from Ho Chi Minh City.
Phú Quý: sail from Phan Thiet
Phu Quoc Express's Trưng Trắc boats link Phan Thiet with Phú Quý in about two hours, 370,000₫ ECO or 450,000₫ VIP one way for October 2026, VAT included. Sailing times change with the date, the tide and the weather.
Board at Cảng vận tải hành khách Phan Thiết (Phan Thiet passenger port), 215 Phạm Văn Đồng; you land at Cảng Phú Quý (Phu Quy port), 18 Ngô Quyền. Superdong also runs Phan Thiet–Phú Quý.
Phú Quý is not Phu Quoc, and Phu Quoc Express runs boats to both. Check the island name on the ticket.
Lý Sơn: the port fee is on top
Phu Quoc Express sails between Sa Kỳ and Lý Sơn both ways. For October 2026 an adult ECO ticket is 160,000₫ plus a 22,000₫ port fee, 182,000₫ in all; VIP comes to 238,000₫, and children aged 6 to 11 pay 128,000₫ with no port fee. The boats leave from Cảng Sa Kỳ (Sa Ky port), not from Da Nang or Hoi An.

Cat Ba: bus and boat on one ticket
Tickets to Cat Ba from Hanoi or Ha Long include the water crossing. Daiichi's Ha Long to Cat Ba ticket takes three hours door to door, the boat included; the Ha Long Bay guide has both directions.

Taking a car to Phu Quoc
Thạnh Thới publishes separate fares for passengers and vehicles; for October 2026:

Thạnh Thới calls its island terminal Bến Bãi Vòng, while ticket listings call it Thạnh Thới port, so the same name does not mean the same berth as the fast boats.
Phu Quoc Express takes no cars on its Phu Quoc boats, but carries motorbikes if you reserve ahead, priced by type.
Passport, ticket and port arrival
Superdong wants a passport or other accepted ID and asks you to be at the port 30 minutes before sailing. Phu Quoc Express asks for 45 minutes on its Phu Quoc, Côn Đảo and Lý Sơn boats, and accepts the QR ticket on your phone.
Superdong's offices at 11 Trần Hầu (Hà Tiên), 01 Lô 4 Đường 3/2 (Rạch Giá) and 187 Nguyễn Trung Trực (Dương Đông) sell tickets; you still board at the port on the ticket.
Luggage and changing your mind
Superdong allows under 10 kg of luggage per ticket; Phu Quoc Express allows 15 kg on its Phú Quý and Lý Sơn boats.
On Superdong, one or two tickets can be changed or refunded once, at least 24 hours before sailing, for a 30% fee. Other companies have their own terms.
When the weather cancels the boat
If the port authority stops sailings for weather, Phu Quoc Express's Côn Đảo and Phú Quý rules give you a free rebooking or a full refund. Cancelling on your own account is a different case and follows the ticket's terms.
